WOW! We had a wonderful evening for our third annual Denim and Diamonds event! Even the weather cooperated for a perfect fall evening! We began with a warm welcome and libations by Bon Appetit at the General Lew Wallace Study & Museum where we were able to see original 19th century art, the shiny new copper domed roof, the Agents of Deterioration exhibit - and even enjoyed a little croquet action!
We then ventured over to the Lane Place, the historic antebellum mansion where former Governor Henry Lane once lived where we viewed the new exterior paint and toured the downstairs. The Civil War era tunes played on the fiddle were an added bonus!
We ended our evening at the Lew's "Water Babble" now known as the Crawfordsville Country Club for more fun getting acquainted with the people and places of our past. Chef Jeff prepared a dinner that was simply amazing and we capped off the evening with a lively auction of the wonderfully created "tablescapes."
We are so grateful for all those who supported our mission through this event and we extend a hearty thank you to all our sponsors, all the volunteers at the Lew Wallace Study and Lane Place who worked hard to ensure our guests enjoyed their visit, the Country Club for a wonderful setting and meal, and of course, our donors and guests, who participated. We hope to see you next year! Please check out photos from the event on the tab to the left!
